Photo Fun with Old Friends

I remember the first time I met this family. It was 2004, and I had recently started dating the man who would become my husband. We had met online, so had no mutual friends (well, almost none -- we did learn later that we had one!), and so naturally he wanted me to meet some of his friends. So one night I went to a get-together at Kevin & Krista's house, feeling very very shy and awkward. They, like us, had met online and were newly married. You could immediately tell that they were a good match, and that they were faithful and kind, down-to-earth people.

Somehow I never pictured that evening that 16 years later, I would be taking their photos on a beautiful summer evening, with my family in tow too: six kids between us, and 16 years of change and growth!

It has been a blessing to watch how God has grown their family, and how much joy there is in this family. Genuine smiles all around, and so much evidence of God's goodness.

Normally Krista's sister takes their photos, because she's a photographer; but due to COVID that wasn't possible, so I had the privilege this time around. Thanks, guys, for the smiles and the friendship!
