About Tracy Friesen
I have had a keen interest in photography for many years, but it is only since getting my first DSLR several years back that I have actively pursued learning the skill and art of photography more intently.
In the early years of my pursuit of photography, my children were very young and it was difficult to get out of the house during the times of day that offered the best light for landscape photography and such; and so I began to practice my skills on flowers and smaller objects that we encountered everywhere and anywhere we would go for walks together.
This developed into my primary photographic love: macro photography. I am passionate about macro photography because it can be done anywhere and everywhere, and there is always something beautiful to see if you look closely enough. Even more, I am passionate about it because I believe in a God who created this beautiful universe we live in, and His infinite creativity and the beauty He infused into even the tiniest details of nature are a source of awe and wonder for me.
I love to shoot anything and everything, but you will find that my photography is primarily macro-based. I hope you enjoy viewing it as much as I enjoy shooting it!
